VoIP 9-1-1 Emergency Service Terms

Please read these important differences and limitations before using Vejaro voice services.

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Important: Vejaro VoIP 9-1-1 emergency service is different from traditional wireline 9-1-1 service. Read this page carefully before using Vejaro voice services.

Customer Notification Text

Vejaro VoIP 9-1-1 emergency service is different from traditional telephone 9-1-1 service. Vejaro's VoIP service depends on power, Internet connectivity, equipment and network availability. During an outage, congestion event, equipment failure, service suspension or address change, a 9-1-1 call may fail, be delayed, or be routed differently than a traditional 9-1-1 call.

Before using Vejaro voice service from a new location, update the emergency service address associated with the service. When calling 9-1-1, immediately tell the emergency dispatcher your current location and callback number. Keep another means of contacting emergency services, such as a charged mobile phone, available where practical.

1. Scope

These VoIP 9-1-1 Emergency Service Terms apply to Vejaro Inc. voice services that permit calls to and from the public switched telephone network. They form part of the Vejaro service terms. By activating or using an applicable Vejaro voice service, you acknowledge these terms and the limitations described below.

2. How VoIP 9-1-1 Calls May Be Handled

A call to 9-1-1 made through Vejaro's VoIP service may be routed through a third-party emergency-call service provider and then to the public safety answering point (PSAP) or other emergency operator associated with the emergency address on your account. The call may be answered or routed differently, and may take longer to connect, than a call made using a traditional telephone service.

Vejaro will attempt to provide the emergency operator with the name, telephone number and emergency address associated with your account. However, that information may not be available, may not be current, or may not be retained by the operator.

3. Tell the Dispatcher Your Location

When calling 9-1-1, immediately provide the dispatcher with your current physical location, the location of the emergency if different, and a callback number. Do this even if you believe your address is on file. If you cannot speak, the dispatcher may not be able to locate you or may use the last emergency address registered for your service.

4. Keep Your Emergency Address Current

You are responsible for providing and maintaining an accurate emergency service address, account contact information and telephone number. You must update the emergency address before using the service from a new location. Moving a desk phone, adapter or other VoIP equipment without updating the emergency address can result in emergency personnel being directed to the wrong location.

5. Service Limitations

VoIP 9-1-1 service depends on power, Internet access, your network, properly configured equipment, Vejaro and third-party networks, and your active service account. A power failure, Internet or network outage, congestion, equipment failure, misconfiguration, service outage, suspension or disconnection of service, or an unregistered change of location may prevent, delay or disrupt a 9-1-1 call.

Keep an alternative means of contacting emergency services available, such as a charged mobile phone, particularly during a power or Internet outage. If you are uncomfortable with these limitations, use another telephone service for emergency calling.

6. Do Not Disconnect

Do not disconnect a 9-1-1 call until the emergency dispatcher tells you to do so. If a call is disconnected accidentally, call 9-1-1 again immediately.

7. Notify Other Users

You must inform all household members, employees, guests and other potential users of your Vejaro voice service about these 9-1-1 limitations. Where Vejaro provides emergency-service warning labels or notices, place them where users of the telephone equipment can see them.

8. Vejaro's Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vejaro Inc., its affiliates, suppliers and emergency-service providers are not liable for any claim, loss, damage, injury or death arising from or related to the availability, routing, connection, delay, failure or limitation of VoIP 9-1-1 service, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

9. Acknowledgement and Consent

By activating Vejaro voice service, you acknowledge that you have read and understand these VoIP 9-1-1 emergency service limitations. You agree to maintain an accurate emergency address and to tell emergency dispatchers your current location and callback number whenever you call 9-1-1.

10. Contact

For assistance with your Vejaro emergency-service address or voice service, contact Vejaro support through your account or at www.vejaro.com. Do not contact Vejaro support for an emergency. Call 9-1-1 or use an alternative emergency telephone service.
